That's a pretty good point. One on hand, I think it's almost impossible to be as ignorant as you would need to live a life unaware of your afflictions in our technology driven society, but I guess I was mostly talking about seeking out more information with the knowledge that you're acquiring more affliction. But I do agree because there is always some base of mental affliction, regardless of how interested you are in learning.
I'd choose the discomfort of being aware because for me that awareness would lessen the discomfort of my afflictions.
